“A few years back, I decided to get together with some friends to make the kind of music that we liked to hear, as opposed to what we were being forced to hear by mainstream radio. So with that in mind, I started a group called, Cornerstone. We went on to perform various shows, including going all the way to the semi-finals for Ed McMahon’s television show “Next Big Star.” We also sold many CD’s in the US, Europe and Japan and recorded songs with and for various recording artists and music producers. Although the group is no longer together, it was a great time in my life and I wanted to share my experience and some of our music with you.” - Marco

Cornerstone is a group of young men who write, produce, and love music! The group is composed of members Marco Martinez, Len Plick, Dwight Thompson, Marvin Paige, and Cedric Stephens. Cornerstone's soulful and angelic harmonies are pieces of a puzzle that bond together their poetic lyrics and melodic chords, and forms music that transcends all boundaries. From their remake of "More Than Words" by the band Extreme, to their original songs like "Softly," Cornerstone's harmonies and arrangements are uplifting, professional and innovative. Their sound has been influenced by many artists and musical styles including the Temptations, After 7, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Babyface, and classical composers such as Bach. Moreover, their music and performances have been given many positive reviews, while they have drawn the support of a widely diverse group of people from across the country. You may recognize Cornerstone from winning numerous competitions on Ed McMahon's nationally syndicated television show "Next Big Star." Three of the members are originally from the east coast (NY, NJ, and Philadelphia) and the other two are from the Los Angeles and Pasadena areas.

Overall these gentlemen are very personable and are trying their hardest to bring back the classic and respectable styles of music from the past. As one of the members put it best, "We just want to have fun and make good music to share with as many people as we can!" They are constantly recording music and are currently working on a few latin songs to reflect the Cuban American culture of one of the members. To ensure that their vision is correctly conveyed to the listener, they have written, arranged, composed, and produced their entire demo CD. As artists their goal is to become the Cornerstone in the hearts of everyone that their music touches...transforming the mind, body and soul.
